Running a full-time Martial Arts gym is a unique venture. It requires balancing the business side with your passion, which can be a challenging endeavor. My primary goal is to prioritize training and find the most effective ways to impart the material to our students. Success, for me, lies in making the learning process as seamless as possible for them. Maintaining strong relationships with the families involved is equally crucial. When anyone steps into the studio—be it a parent, student, or disciple—they instantly become part of our extended family. It's essential to address and collaborate with each individual. This, in my view, is one of the joys of being a teacher. Our Kwoon, School, Dojo, or Gym is like a second home, and it deserves to be treated as such. SiFu Jacob A. Brinnand

Transferring a Legacy. Devoting my life to the pursuit of mastery, I armed myself with patience, understanding, and unwavering dedication. Training became my therapy, a wellspring of insight, a purposeful activity, a means of exercise, and a way of life. It invigorated my mind and steered me away from harm. Martial Arts served as a guiding light, unfailingly leading me back to safety, sobriety, and peace. When entrusted with a legacy, a master's teachings, it becomes our duty to pass it on to the next generation. Strive to carry forth the hard-earned light, illuminating the path for generations yet to come. Extend the same help to others that Martial Arts has granted you. Endeavor to be the finest version of yourself. This embodies the path of a Martial Artist—one of selflessness and a pursuit of a better life, not just for oneself, but for the betterment of others.
